1900 U.S. Test Eagle. Features include long frame, round pencil barrel with dovetailed inverted V front sight, V notch rear sight on rear toggle link, narrow grip safety and narrow trigger, dished toggle with toggle lock, and walnut checkered grips. Eight round detachable box magazine. The gun is all matching including the correct un-numbered wood bottom magazine with flaming bomb proof. Last two serial numbers on the right side of takedown lever. Marked in the commercial style without a "GERMANY" export stamp. Early cross checkered safety lever. "DWM" in scroll on front toggle link and American Eagle over the chamber. Documented on page 70 of the book "1900 LUGER U.S. TEST TRIALS" by Michael Reese II. At the time it was owned by Dr. Leland Wetzel. CONDITION: Gun retains approximately 96% of the arsenal rust blue finish and 80% of the arsenal straw color. Good bore showing sharp lands and grooves. Walnut grips are minty with sharp checkering. A rare and very desirable Luger that is documented.
