Offered is a lovely attic-find untouched Model 1873 Saddle Ring Carbine. Features round barrel, full magazine, twin bands, standard post front sight, standard folding carbine rear sight, blued finish, saddle ring and stud, and walnut stock with carbine buttplate and trapdoor. CONDITION: Carbine metal finish is basically a rich, dark, smooth, chocolate patina with flashes of blue on frame, untouched with sharp barrel legends. Walnut stocks are excellent with their usual handling marks from years of service, but nothing ghastly; proud to metal and never sanded or refinished. Fine action. Strong, pronounced rifling with a light ring 1" from muzzle and some abrasion. Simply an untouched, all original 1873 carbine with the right look.
