Measures 9-1/4" opened with a 4-1/4" flat steel blade with single edge on bottom. The bottom also features a folding device for removing stones from horseshoes, as well as a screw, which is also the trigger and can be used to make the pistol an alarm gun. The top is fitted with a 4" twisted steel barrel of .36 caliber smoothbore with two Liege proofs on top near breech and a percussion system mounted at the breech. Both grip scales are of German silver and are finely engraved with spiraling foliate scrolls. For similar examples, see "Blades and Barrels" by H. Gordon Frost. CONDITION: Very good. Knife blade and other tools retain a grey patina with some grey freckling and minor dark spots. Barrel retains a grey patina with some minor dark spots and corrosion. The action is strong and functions well. Silver grip scales retain a pleasing patina and show little wear.
