Reising Arms was originally located in Hartford, Connecticut moving to New York at approximately serial number 4000, with large blocks of serial numbers omitted. They were only in business from 1921 to 1924 so this would be an early 1921 era Hartford stamped model, one of approximately 1,500 manufactured in Hartford. Features high polish blued finish, high Patridge front sight, adjustable ear sight, wide checkered spur hammer, magazine fed, brown composite grips that feature the image of a bear with the quote "ITS A BEAR" on both sides. CONDITION: This rare pistol has seen some use. Straps are thinning and mixing with brown patina but still retain 75% or better blue. Wear around sight band and high edges with some normal handling marks, still retains 90% original finish. Fine bore and action. Comes with two original Reising marked .22 caliber blued magazines; one for .22 LR and one for .22 Short which works fine. Includes original instruction booklet.
