This medal was presented to J.W. Hale in 1878 by the Creedmoor Scorers Association, which is engraved on reverse. The gold bar at top reads Creedmoor while and is attached to the main body via singular loop. Medal has a Remington Rolling Block on front and is engraved "Creedmoor Scorers Association". J.W. Hale is listed in the Army, Navy, Air Force Journal & Register as a Creedmoor shooter in 1878 and one of the top shooters in the Seventh New York. CONDITION: Excellent pin-back gold medal. Nice early shooting medal
