This is a fine lot of early American shooting club pendant medals. 1) Dated 1902 per the blue enamel shield as presented to “CHAS THIEBAUTH” inscribed on the suspension bar. Hanging below is an American eagle with crossed rifles and the shield. The main body of the pin hanging by chains from the rifles shows: “KOENING” (king) inscribed on the escutcheon above the blue and white concentric target motif with tied laurel wreath surround. The outer ring of the target is inlaid with “HARLEM SCHUETZEN GESELLSCHAFT” (Harlem Protection Society). 4” x 1-3/4” approx. 10K yellow gold 17.3 dwt. 2) Dated as per the inscription on the back “1 Juli 1906” and “H. S. GESELLSCHAFT” with no additional markings. Suspension bar has exquisite crown and scrolled design with raised lettering “KOENING” and five-point start hanging by one link. Hanging from the bar are crossed schuetzen rifles with the main pin body hanging below that. Below an American eagle, the body escutcheon has “CHAS THIEBAUTH” inscribed above the central black and white concentric target motif with tied laurel wreath surround and American flag themed shield at center of wreath bottom. 3-5/8” x 1-3/4” approx. 10K yellow gold 9.25 dwt. 3) Dated 1904 in shield at bottom, this medal has an elaborate suspension bar inscribed “GEN. VON STEUBEN CO. No 5”. Panel hanging below is inscribed “KOENING” and main pin body hangs below that. Crown and rod with finials above black and white concentric target motif and crossed schuetzen rifles. Tied laurel wreath surround and American flag themed shield at center of wreath bottom, with gold sash showing date diagonally up from left to right. “N.Y. No 1 S.B.” etched into body around the target. Light markings on back. 4-1/4” x 2” approx. Not gold. Lot total 26.5 dwt. Condition: all are Excellent to Near mint.
