"Presented to C H McNay by Wm F. Cody Buffalo Bill" and is dated on back 1880. It is actually a four tier brass medallion watch fob. The three lower medals are stamped Whitehead & Hoag, the most prominent maker of medals and pins at that time. The back of the top medal is the presentation and the second medal is dated 1880. The top medal features a wagon train with Pikes Peak or Bust, 2nd medal is die cut mule's head with Summit of Pikes Peak, 3rd is mining in Colorado and lastly, rider bucking bronco. It appears that it was plated at one time but most of this finish is gone and there is some wear to high points indicating this piece was worn on a regular basis. An interesting piece of Wild West history relating to Buffalo Bill. We were unable to identify McNay.

Item Dimensions: 7 -1/4" x 2".
1880 DATED BUFFALO BILL PRESENTATION MEDAL.
