Lot consists of: Gun (A) Manufactured in 1901. Features full round barrel with large half moon front sight and ejector housing. Six shot fluted cylinder. Double action with exposed hammer. Two piece gutta percha composite grips with rampant Colt emblem. CONDITION: First notch is missing from the hammer and the cylinder does not rotate. Someone has cut the trigger guard to make it like a Fitz Special. Gun retains approximately 40% of the original blue finish with the remainder turning a pleasing patina. The case color frame has turned to silver. Fair bore showing just a bit of frosting. Gun (B) Manufactured in 1881. Features full round barrel with medium half moon front sight and etched panel. Six shot fluted cylinder. Double actin with exposed hammer. Two piece gutta percha composite grips with rampant Colt emblem. CONDITION: Someone has cut the trigger guard and the hammer to make it like a Fitz Special. Gun retains approximately 80% of the original nickel finish with the remainder turning a pleasing patina. The action indexes and locks up tight. Fair bore showing just a bit of frosting.
