Japanese type 38 Carbine by Nagoya Arsenal. 19 inch barrel with barley corn front sight and ladder adjustable rear sight. 6.5 Japanese cal. Matching numbers with exception of dust cover. Very fine overall condition with over 75% of the thinning blue finish remaining. Chrysanthemum has been removed. Stocks are very solid and full sized however have been very lightly sanded and refinished. Mechanics operate properly and bore is very fine.
Japanese type 99 Arisaka manufactured at Nagoya. Early last ditch series with wood butt plate fixed rear sight and no front sight ears. Has full Chrysanthemum crest . These rifles where crudely produced ans survival in fine condition is rarely found. Fine non-chrome lined bore with good mechanics. wood is full sized and not refinished. Numerous bruises and scrapes but very fine overall.
Japanese type 38 Rifle with 32 inch barrel chambered for the 6.5 Japanese cartridge . Very good chrome lined bore and crisp mechanics. Chrysantemum has been ground from receiver ring. Bolt is not matching to rifle. Blue finish is good with over 50% remaining and balance turning patina. Wood is fine with most of the arsenal varnish remaining with several larger bruises and scrapes.
