The largest claim to fame of this little pistol is it was effectively James Bond's first firearm in Ian Fleming's original first novel. It was replaced in the book "Dr. No" by the Walther PPK. In the previous book "From Russia with Love" the silencer on the Beretta became caught in the waistband of his trousers, hence the new weapon is forced on him in the 1962 "Dr. No". Fleming introduced Bond using a Beretta 418 in the first novel "Casino Royale". This gun was made in 1956 and is dated on right side of frame. 418 was first introduced in 1937 and was produced until 1961. Features blued finish, eight shot, semi-automatic, magazine fed, with Beretta logo black composite grips. CONDITION: Fine bore and action. Grip straps are silvered out. Overall high edge wear. Retaining 75% original finish. Grips are excellent. Comes with a holster that is too big for the gun.
