February 5, 6, & 7, 2019 Field & Range Firearms
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 2/6/2019
Lot consists of: Two identical models, same caliber; both feature round barrels, twist magazine, plain pistol grip, walnut stock, checkered shotgun buttplate, grooved walnut flat bottom fore ends. Both are take-down, have sporting sights, razor sharp markings, fine bores and actions. Gun (A) Remington Gamemaster, manufactured from 1936-1950, with the 141s representing an earlier model. It is chambered for one of the finest brush calibers ever invented, the .35 Remington, and the slick and fast pump action made an excellent deep woods rifle for medium to large game. CONDITION: Homogeneous blend of blue and soft brown patina, nicely aging. Stock has normal dings and impressions. Gun (B) CONDITION: Retaining over 90% of the factory blue, still rich. Wood is excellent with a few dings. Someone has put small kill notches at left bottom of pistol grip, put there at time of use. A pair of incredibly nice quality rifles which are not built like this today.
