The basis for this gorgeous custom rifle is a Winchester model 70 receiver built in 1948. It appears as though they used the original barrel as it has the "PW" proof but all other Winchester markings have been removed with the exception of caliber. The barrel was given a high polish blue finish and the receiver was refinished in the Winchester matte style. CONDITION: Metal retains nearly all of its custom applied finish. The stock work is simply breathtaking with deluxe fiery grain walnut stock, hand checkering, exquisite design, red pad with black line spacer, sling eyes, and Neidner style metal grip cap. All of the reapplied high polish blue remains on trigger guard and floor plate. A beautifully crafted custom Winchester Model 70. It is topped with a Leupold 3-9 gold ring scope with standard crosshairs and excellent optics. Gun is in near new condition inside and out as custom built.
