Lot consists of: Gun (A) manufactured 1937. Pre-war carbine features full round barrel, full magazine, twin bands, hooded ramp front sight, Winchester sporting rear sight, blued finish, walnut stock, long forend and checkered steel buttplate. CONDITION: This classic carbine retains approximately 90% of the expertly reapplied blued finish, done long ago with sharp legends. Wood is proud to metal with usual dings, sling plug in toe of stock and a small hairline crack on bottom left side of band that is easily repairable. Fine rifled bore and action. Gun (B) manufactured 1942 to 1948. Specs on this gun are identical to Gun (A) with the exception of caliber being .32 Winchester Special. CONDITION: Barrel retains 95% original blue as does tube with some scattered light handling scratches. 50% blue on bands. 60% blue on frame blending with soft grey patina. Stocks are excellent. Near mint rifling and fine action. Fine pair of early, classic 1894 carbines.
