Manufactured by Mauser in Oberndorf, Germany in 1939, this Luger has a Mauser 42 code. Matching numbers include: receiver, toggle, side plate, side plate lever, safety, and rear sight. Gun has a reparkerized finish on the receiver and slide with a non-matching reblued replacement barrel, and incorrect front sight. Holster was manufactured by LWP in 1940, the Waffenamt has been rubbed off. Pistol is import marked on right side of receiver above trigger guard. CONDITION: Metal components retain 70% of reapplied parkerized finish showing scattered handling marks and high edge wear all around. Barrel retains most of its reapplied blue finish showing wear around muzzle and minute losses on barrel. Checkered wood grips retain most of applied finish with wear and small nicks and handling marks to checkering around edges. Right grip is numbered "23" on the inside. Bright and shiny bore with sharp lands and grooves. Action is smooth and locks tightly. The holster is oil soaked, showing serviceable stitching. Loading tool and extra magazine are not present. MW
