Lot features a Quality Hardware second block manufactured M1 carbine made between June 1943 and October 1943. Barrel was manufactured by Buffalo, which is a rare maker. Trigger group appears to be all Quality Hardware manufacture. Trigger housing has correct Q-NL mark. Recoil plate has correct RO-Q marking. Correct flat bolt but has no markings. Slide marked DA-Q. Correct GE-Q marked early flip sight. Front sight is unmarked. Front sling swivel is correctly stamped "UI", but is missing the loop. Wood stock has high cut notch and faintly marked in sling well "Q-RMC with correct buttplate. Original two rivet forearm with shallow groove marked, but is marked "IO" for Inland. Comes with World War II 15 round magazine marked "IU" in a circle for Underwood. CONDITION: Barrel retains 80% original military finish. ME reading: 2. Action retains 80% original finish with wear from moving parts. Stock has nice reapplied finish with faint cartouche marks and light handling marks. Nice World War II vintage M1 carbine.
