A fine example of a fully restored 1937 World Series pitch and bat arcade machine, manufactured by Rockola, stopping production in 1941 because of World War II. The machine commemorates the famed 1937 World Series baseball game by using the actual names of the All-Star players such as Di Maggio and Hartnett featured on the jerseys of the hand painted three dimensional figures on the field. For five cents, patrons are given plays until three outs are reached. The components of the interior appear newly painted, displaying little to no signs of wear. The housing is exceptional, displaying two-toned cabinetry and complete with a glass marquee. This game is in working condition, having underwent a meticulous head-to-toe restoration two years ago and was then crated by the owner until the time of consignment. The coin mechanism is the correct “horizontal escalator” type that is often missing or replaced with a non-escalator type. Every part inside was completely disassembled, cleaned, refurbished, lubricated, and adjusted for proper operation by Kevin Keinert at GameRoomRepair.com. Any worn parts were replaced or rebuilt as needed and all new electrical wiring was installed. Even the motor and gear-reduction box were completely taken apart and cleaned. Kevin stands by the notion that the game should provide years of service with little or no maintenance required and has indicated that he is available for support after the sale. Keys are included.
