Made under contract from Colt, this is a World War I issue Springfield example. Features all pre-war type parts including beveled edge U notch rear sight; small, checkered short spur hammer; long smooth trigger, checkered slide stop and safety, flat mainspring housing with lanyard, and diamond checkered walnut grips. Blue barrel marked "P" under lug. Proper era two tone, tempered magazine although not Springfield. All markings are sharp. CONDITION: Retains 90% of an arsenal reapplied blued finish. Fine bore and action. Scarce World War I contract pistol.
