Very few commercial Model 1911's were made for the civilian market after America's entry into the Great War. This pistol is in all original condition with correct era parts to include beveled edge U notch rear sight, short checkered wide spur hammer, checkered slide stop and safety; smooth, flat backstrap with lanyard; long, smooth trigger, two tone tempered pinned base magazine and diamond checkered walnut grips. CONDITION: Retains 80% of the original commercial factory blue finish. Exhibits high edge and muzzle holster wear. Top of slide finish is thinning and blending soft patina. Frame has the usual takedown line. Frame has at least 70% original blue on front strap, blending patina. Backstrap is smooth brown patina. Near mint bore. An extremely nice example that was carried but well cared for.
