This pistol was manufactured at the Koishikawa Arsenal in Tokyo. Features dovetailed blade front sight on base, milled rear sight, blued finish, factory marking on bridge, serial number on right side, straw colored trigger, checkered walnut grips numbered to gun (very light and hard to read), mismatched but proper aluminum base nickel magazine No. 3671. CONDITION: Gun retains approximately 90% original blue. Backstrap is freckled and dull. Scattered areas of light salt and pepper. Fine bore and action. Comes in the original leather holster with should strap. An identical style pistol can be seen on page 45 and identical holster on page 50 in the book "Military Pistols of Japan" by Honeycutt. Holster is also numbered to gun with Japanese writing inside the lid. Beautiful little rig manufactured prior to World War II.
