This beautiful World War I era Army Model was built on the New Service frame. All proper barrel markings. Left side of frame has the "JMG" inspector stamp for John Gilbert with strong pony also on left. Bottom of barrel is stamped "UNITED STATES PROPERTY". Bottom of barrel is stamped "US ARMY MODEL 1917" with Army inventory number 35771. Other features include lanyard loop, six shot, double action and military blue finish. CONDITION: Shows some high edge holster wear, scattered handling marks but remains a solid 95% all original gun. Does not look to have been fired as there is no cylinder burn or residue at forcing cone. Near mint bore and action. Comes with a proper US holster that is also in excellent condition. Far above average large frame World War I revolver.
