Lot consists of: Gun (A) Marlin Model 1889 rifle with an octagon full magazine barrel with blade front sight and adjustable rear sight. Blued frame with "Marlin Safety" marked on top and case hardened hammer and lever. Plain walnut stock with blued steel crescent butt. CONDITION: Barrel exhibits a plum brown finish with some light freckling and an excellent bore. Receiver has faded to a silvery patina. Hammer and lever exhibit traces of case fading to gray. Wood has traces of original finish with no cracks or splits. Mechanically sound and functions fine. Gun (B) Marlin Model 1893 with full magazine and full round tapered barrel marked "Special Smokeless Steel". Rifle has German silver blade front sight and rear v-notch adjustable sight. Case colored frame with plain walnut stock and crescent steel rifle butt. CONDITION: Barrel exhibits 50% fading blue with some light freckling and a shootable bore. Action retains a silvery finish with traces of case colors as does the lever and hammer. Wood retains 60% of an old refinish. Mechanically sound and functions fine.
