Manufactured from 1909 to 1911 at Standard Arms Company, 1912 to 1914 Wilmington. This is a 192-1914 Model. It is one of the more unusual guns in that it is gas operated semi-automated and slide action hammerless rifle. Has the distinctive high relief decorated wide brass grip covers on slide and matching brass buttplate. This is the Model G with the gas tube. Features blued finish, standard sporting sights, walnut buttstock. CONDITION: Barrel retains approximately 75% original factory blue finish with razor sharp legends, blending patina with some age freckling. Gas tube is basically gun metal grey with freckling. Brass forend is intact. Frame has approximately 20-30% blue-brown patina, balance gunmetal grey with overall freckling. Walnut stocks are excellent with beautiful wood grain. Strong visible rifling. Fine action. Very good overall example of a very scarce and highly unusual turn of the century rifle with rakish design.
