This historic weapon was taken into the British Government service on May 5th and approved on May 24th, 1915. It follows the general designs of the Mk IV and Mk V. This weapon was a mainstay of the British Forces for officer's during the entire World War I conflict. Features octagon barrel, six shot fluted cylinder, matte blue finish and diamond checkered composition grips with lanyard loop. Has all proper British stamps. This example was manufactured in 1918. Rear of the cylinder has been lightly shaved to accept the .45 ACP cartridge, but serial number still fully visible. CONDITION: 90% arsenal dull military finish. Near mint bore. Action like new. Nice, clean example of British World War I officer's revolver.
