February 5, 6, & 7, 2019 Field & Range Firearms
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 2/5/2019
Lot consists of: Gun (A) Smith and Wesson Model 36-1 featuring a five shot fluted cylinder, blue finish, case colored hammer and trigger, silver medallion checkered walnut grips. CONDITION: Gun does not appear to have been fired. Has a light drag line. Near new inside and out with box and paperwork. Gun (B) Smith & Wesson Model 317. This has to be the lightest weight revolver manufactured. It is made completely out of stainless finished alloy including frame, barrel and cylinder. Features nine shot cylinder, double action, bobbed hammer, black composite laser grips. CONDITION: Gun has been fired and has some light handling marks. Fine bore and action. Gun (C) Model 36, otherwise known as the Chief Special. Features a five shot fluted cylinder, double action, blue finish, pinned barrel, matching serial number on silver medallion checkered walnut grips. Three screw round butt. Case colored hammer and trigger. CONDITION: Light drag line on cylinder. Like new inside and out in original matching box with paperwork. Interesting aspect of this revolver is that the backstrap is stamped BPD 1060B, an abbreviation not listed in the Smith & Wesson book. One would assume this stands for Boston Police Department, but it could just as easily stand for Baltimore Police Department. Only a factory letter can confirm.
