Manufactured by Orbea Mermanos Y Ca Eibar. One of the best copies of the Smith & Wesson we have encountered. Their logo on the left side replicates the Smith & Wesson logo. Left side of barrel is stamped "FOR 44 SMITH & WESSON CARTRIDGES". Even the logo on the grips is similar to the Smith & Wesson. Features six shot, double action, fluted cylinder, top break, blued finish, case colored hammer and trigger, and gutta percha grips. Lanyard ring has been removed. CONDITION: Gun retains 75-80% original factory blue with the balance smooth patina. Razor sharp legends and edges. Operates and locks up fine both single and double action. Strong, clean rifled bore. If you collect old Smith & Wesson's you have to display a few well-made copies and this is a nice example with the scarce short barrel.
