Austro-Hungarian Empire. Leopold Gasser who invented the large and powerful 11.43mm military revolver in 1869. The Model 1870 used a shorter 11.25mm. Features top break by way of lever on left side, six shot, double action, factory nickel plated and bone grips. CONDITION: Traces of nickel but basically dark patina with age spotting. Grips are very good. Lanyard stud is present. Cylinder rotates sporadically, will need some mechanical attention. Rifled bore is very good. These are very unusual, early revolvers.
