This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 2/7/2019
Lot consists of: Gun (A) .30-06 bolt action sporter built on a Rock Island Arsenal with an original SA 5 19 dated barrel with rear sight removed. Barrel and action have been polished and reblued. Original 03 front sight has a replacement blade. Post-war Fajen stock with black forend tip, pistol grip cap, sling swivels, and a waffle pad with a 1" extension. Scope has been added with an adjustable base. Scope is a Bausch and Lomb 4x scope with bluing taken off the eye piece. Very common conversion of surplus rifles after the war. CONDITION: Retains 90% of the reblue. Stock has problems that could be addressed with replacement. A nicer stock, eyepiece, and front sight would result in a nicer rifle but is usable as a cabin hunting gun with little loss risk. Gun (B) is a customized Universal Carbine where some handyman made a Mannlicher out of an old universal by using a ramp front sight, a full length pistol grip straight comb walnut stock with white line spacer cap and rubber butt. Retains original wide groove four rivet handguard. A clever peep sight has been added. CONDITION: Metal retains virtually all of the reapplied finish. Wood has usual dings and dents. No magazine, but they are cheap and plentiful. A fun plinking gun.
