Made by a very scarce maker out of Windsor, Vermont who was a well known rifle smith known for his underhammer rifles, shotguns, and pistols. They were never mass produced and as a result offer numerous differences. He was known for his use of brass trim and curly maple. Many of his guns were made within the Vermont State Prison using convict labor. Features an octagon to round barrel, delicate Kentucky rifle style sights, stamped N. Kendall, Windsor, VT on top of barrel. An oak cleaning rod is attached by way of three thimbles. As listed, the hammer is underneath. CONDITION: Nipple has been replaced. Beautiful curly maple stock is in excellent condition with its original finish, proud to metal, no cracks, with decorative brass trigger guard and ID plaque on left side of stock. Gun is in working order. Has a smooth bore. Barrel is basically gunmetal grey. A beautiful, very delicate, scarce buggy rifle made by a master gunsmith.
