Lot consists of: Gun (A) Ward's Western Field takedown, tube fed, slide action rifle. Features full round barrel, 2/3 tubular magazine, grooved walnut fore end, pistol grip walnut stock, smooth metal buttplate, and blued finish. CONDITION: Rifle retains approximately 90% original factory blue with scattered handling marks, minor high edge wear, and thinning at lower tang. Wood is excellent with usual minor bumps. Action is fine. Bore is strong. Gun (B) Remington Model 121 Fieldmaster, 2/3 tube magazine, takedown, pistol grip walnut stock, blue finish, sporting sights, steel buttplate, flat bottom, long serrated buttstock. CONDITION: Barrel has turned a grey-blue patina with razor sharp legends. Frame retains 85% original blue with high edge wear and scattered handling marks. Left side of frame has two tapped and filled scope mounting holes. Forend is excellent. Stock has numerous bumps and bruises with scattered areas of added varnish and needs to be refinished. Fine action, mirror bore. A nice set of early slide action rifles that would make good shooters, with the Remington standing to make great gains from a refinishing job.
