If these look similar to the Model 61 it is because they were both invented by John Browning. These pre-war FN models are rarely seen in the states. Its most distinct feature is the round knob buttstock. Features include full round barrel, 2/3 tubular magazine, sporting sights, takedown, blue finish, brown grooved walnut forend, pistol grip walnut stock, smooth steel buttplate. CONDITION: Barrel retains 75-80% original blue, balance handling marks and blending patina. Razor sharp legends. Frame retains 90% original blue with high edge wear. Some spotting. Has a base rail mounted on top of frame. Stocks are excellent, proud to metal. Fine bore with strong rifling and fine action. A handsome rifle with the round knob. CORRECTION: Small scope mounting plate has been attached to the top of frame.
