Referred to the Model 1935 Carbineros Carbine. Carbineros were an elite corp of the Spanish military. Carbine has pistol grip stock, upper handguard, nosecap has the H Type short flush bayonet lug. Sling swivels are on left side of stock at wrist and band and have a quick release. Right sight of stock has an identification disk. Left side of stock has national crest over date (1935), above acceptance mark. Receiver bridge has the Chilean crossed rifles and is dated Model 1935. Mauser banner on rear bridge. Has all matching visible numbers to include floor plate, trigger guard, safety, bolt, frame, nosecap, cleaning rod, small import stamped on bottom barrel. CONDITION: Rifle is in beautiful lightly used condition with original high polish blue on frame, bolt in the white, fire blued sights. Barrel blue is thinning to patina, approximately 50%. 85% blue on bands. Original slings and quick releases. 75% on trigger guard and floorplate. Wood is excellent with minor dings. Fine bore and action. A really lovely, all original, all matching pre-war Mauser.
