This standard Winchester carbine features full round barrel, full magazine, single barrel band with sling eye, blue finish, saddle ring and stud, walnut stock and carbine butt. Added features: replaced front sight blade with red dot, rear sight filler, right side has a brass knurled attachment that holds a large size disk for the Lyman tang sight, and checkered trigger, none of which are original to the gun. CONDITION: Barrel retains approximately 70% factory original blue finish with razor sharp legends, handling marks, and some thinning. Magazine retains approximately 75% blue, starting to blend. 90% blue on the barrel band. Receiver has turned a grey-brown soft patina, with flashes of blue. Saddle ring is slightly deformed. 70% blue on bolt. Stocks are excellent, proud to metal. There is a hole in the butt where sling eye was removed. Sling eye on band was attached and is not original to the band. There is a spot at toe of the stock that has been cleared for tang sight. Traces of original blue on buttplate. Stocks have been re-oiled but not sanded. Fine action and a strong rifled bore with sharp lands. This is a neat little carbine, especially with the sight disk holding attachment.
