A 27 - 1/2" (70cm) blade with complex straight temper line showing considerable activity. The tang with two holes. Suriage with full seven character Morinao signature. CONDITION: Blade is excellent, having been polished by Moses Becerra. Mokume hada with a few extremely minor openings and a few insignificant areas of very old pitting, which were not removed during polish. Silver habaki with cat scratching. NBTHK paperwork guaranteeing signature authentic as well as other correspondence. Contained in a fine shirasaya by the noted shirasaya Michael Virgadamo. A genuine signed 17th century Japanese samurai sword.
