Standard Spanish-American War issue military rifle. Stock cartouche on left side no longer visible but has cursive "P" on bottom of wrist. Features blued finish, full length stock with finger groove, single barrel band, Krag military sights. CONDITION: Barrel is a smooth, homogeneous blend of blue and soft patina with age freckling. 70% fire blue on extractor. Blue mixed with patina on frame and plate. Magazine is a freckled grey patina. Wood stock is excellent with usual dings, but rich wood with no cracks; dark are on left side at frame. Forend is complete, although cracked on both sides of sight, and a chip at breech. Fine bore and action.
