The Colt King Cobra was first produced in 1986 and immediately gained popularity as an alternative to the Smith & Wesson 686 which had a high MSRP. This factory drilled and tapped example was made in 1997, during which all King Cobras were drilled and tapped for optics as a standard feature. Ultimately, the MSRP on the King Cobra rose too high and it lost its niche by 1998. Like its more famous cousin, the Colt Python, the King Cobra has been featured in several films including Death Wish 5, A Long Kiss Goodbye, Free Money, and Narc. This King Cobra features stainless steel construction, full heavy top rib, solid ejector housing, flat top frame, red ramp front sight, blued adjustable target rear sight, six shot fluted cylinder, recessed chambers, double action, and Colt silver medallion finger groove rubber grips. CONDITION: Revolver has been fired as there is light cylinder burn on face. Light drag line on cylinder. Otherwise like new inside and out with minor handling marks. Comes with original blue case.
