Nice example of a German 98 Mauser sporting rifle. Barrel has no sights, and is mounted with a small sling swivel that has a partner on stock. Engraved floor plate and trigger guard, double set triggers. Jeweled bolt, engraved butter knife bolt handle, walnut stock features Schnabel forend, wundhammer style raised fore end side plates. Pistol grip checkered, straight comb stock with deluxe wood and waffle pad sporting Leupold mounts and a Weaver K6 scope. CONDITION: The frame and trigger guard assembly and floorplate retain 98% of the reapplied blue finish. The barrel retains approximately 97% original blue finish. Stock is near mint. Fine bore and action. A beautiful lightweight German Mauser sporting rifle.
