Features round barrel, pinned post front sight, military ladder rear sight, blue finish, carbine fore end and handguard, carbine walnut buttstock, saddle ring and stud. CONDITION: Exposed barrel retains 90% original factory blue with brown patina blending through. Bolt retains 85% bright high polish factory blue. Traces of blue on box magazine, balance flaked to brown patina. Same can be said for lever. Frame is gunmetal grey mixed with brown patina and some patchy freckling. Saddle ring is a replacement. Left side of frame has been tapped and filled for a Lyman 21 sight. Right side of fore end has some finish cutouts that look deliberate. Handguard is fine. Buttstock is excellent, with small chip at toe. Someone has made some homemade sling eyes with what looks like brass staples. Fine action with strong clean bore. Should be a good shooter. Removing the saddle ring, replacing the Lyman 21 sight, replacing the forearm, and performing the small stock repair would greatly enhance this rifle.
