Lot consists of: Gun (A) Turkish Mauser Model 38 military bolt action rifle. Import stamped. Mismatched numbers. Turkish markings on receiver ring. CONDITION: Freckled blue-grey patina on barrel. Blue mixing patina on frame. Wood is excellent with usual dings and a couple of period stock repairs. Strong rifled bore. Fine action. Gun (B) Model 1870/87 Vetterli Vitali. Conversion with four round magazine. No import stamps. Rifle is dated 1890. Built at the Terni Plant. Has the updated rear sight. CONDITION: Barrel retains 85% of the arsenal applied blued finish. Frame is a blue-brown patina. Very good rifling. Missing cleaning rod. CORRECTION: The Turkish Mauser is not a Model 1903, it is a Model 38 dated 1940 and a modified Model 1903 stock.
