Offered is a Colt Delta Elite manufactured in 1987. The first firearm produced by one of the major manufacturers in 10mm, it ultimately was relegated to the wayside when high capacity .40 S&W guns muscled out its market niche. This particular example has had significant aftermarket work performed on it. The slide has been milled to accept a set of Patridge style sights, with a fully adjustable rear and fixed front sight. The rear sight has outlines on the edges to enhance the aiming preciseness, although it appears that some of the paint has been redone as it is somewhat shaky. The rear of the slide has had some radial fluting performed. Barrel is a BarSto 10mm barrel with two Mag-na-porting windows. Recoil system is two spring, both rounded. Comes with extra magazine. CONDITION: Barrel was improperly fitted and will not slide out the front of the slide. Series 80 firing pin safety has been removed. Spring guide is falling apart. Frame has some melted plastic material inside of the dust cover and just in front of the slide rails, probably from the spring guide. Aftermarket safeties have been fitted to the gun, as well as an extended magazine release. Mainspring housing has been replaced with on that has an integrated magwell. Grip safety is present and operational. Otherwise, gun has scattered handling marks one would expect from a used gun. This already good shooter would be turned into something incredible if someone took the time to do a thorough cleaning and retooling of the parts.
