2-44 dated barrel with Remington markings. Two piece walnut stocks with "FJA" inspectors markings and "RA" manufacturer's markings as well as dual circle "P" inspection at wrist. Very dark, near black phosphate finish indicative of Greek issued post World War II rifles. This rifle is accompanied by CMP certificate indicating sale in July 2002. CONDITION: Very fine as arsenal refinished. Most all dark phosphate finish remains. Two groove bore is bright and shiny with sharp lands and grooves. Action operates properly and smoothly. The wood stocks, with their many inspection marks, are very good with typical period bruises and scrapes but no cracks or serious material loss.
