Manufactured 1918 and has an "RIA" marked barrel dated 9-18. The frame and barrel were both made in 1918, near the end of the war. It was turned and and re-built for the second war with a correct era stock, later Type III handguard. Concave dished rear sight adjustment knobs without grooves and a smooth steel buttplate. All parts are milled and not later stamped variations. CONDITION: Excellent as completely arsenal refinished. Excellent bore with sharp lands and grooves. Metal surfaces retain most all of the contemporary grey parkerized finish. Stocks are very dark and oil stained as well as numerous bruises and abrasions. Slight material loss around stock pins. A faint "FJA" (Frank Atwood) cartouche is evident. Rifle comes with CMP certificate indicating the rifle was sold in April of 2000. Action operates properly and functions but bolt is stiff when fully to rear. TE reading: 2. ME reading: 1.5.
