Offered is a full custom build from Nowlin Arms built around 1997 or 1998 based on the included advertisements. Nowlin Arms is well known in the practical shooting community as being a top quality manufacturer of 1911s and 1911 parts. This pistol has the following features: frame mounted Aimpoint Comp XD, Nowlin Arms Series 70 style slide with Nowlin Arms logo on right panel, rear sight cut but no rear sight which may have been for a slide racker that was never installed, blacked out drift adjustable front sight, front and rear cocking serrations, two tone Commander style skeleton hammer, Nowlin Manufacturing frame with short dust cover, aluminum three hole trigger, extended magazine release, ambidextrous high ride safeties, operational and fitted grip safety, flat mainspring housing, and checkered wooden grips with Nowlin logo in a center diamond. CONDITION: Gun was only lightly used. Slide to frame fit is exceptionally smooth. Barrel and frame have been expertly mated together and have a bank vault lock up. Trigger breaks at a very crisp 3lbs with virtually no take up and has an almost instantaneous reset. Safety fit is somewhat loose but still operational and an easy fix. Gun retains 95+% of it's blue finish with some light wear on the left side of the grip safety. Barrel is clean with sharp lands and grooves. Excellent manual mechanics. Aimpoint has the normal wear spot next the ejection port that was hit by brass, but is otherwise operational with a bright, crisp 3 MOA dot. Comes with Nowlin original case, sample target, and advertisements plus two unmarkedten round magazines with J&J basepads. Also has the original box for the AimPoint red dot with paperwork and extra rings. An excellent piece for anyone looking for a top of the line pistol but is unwilling to wait for the long build periods companies of Nowlin's caliber require.
