This rifle dates from 1953 to the end of production in 1957. Has a Springfield barrel dated "3-54" with eagle DOD stamp. Has a replaced "DRC" rear sight adjustment knob. Bolt is Springfield "8-11 8528287-SA" (correct). Pistol grip has block letter "P" with serifs. No visible side cartouche. Bore is mirror bright with sharp lands and grooves with a ME Reading: 2. TE Reading: 7. Trigger group is "6528290-SA" Type III (correct). Release is stamped "MXR". Rack number on tape on left side. CONDITION: Metal retains the majority of its arsenal applied military finish. Excellent stock with normal military usage. Fine action. Most of the parts are correct for this gun, would take very few parts to restore this gun to all correct Korea War rifle.
