Likely made in England and imported in to the U.S. in the late 1860's or early 1870's this gun features 30" Laminated barrels with what appear to be heavily tarnished silver bands at breech ends and top rib marked "Philadelphia. Backaction locks are nicely scroll engraved and marked "Tryon." The gun has two triggers. Straight grip buttstock is nicely checkered in two point pattern through wrist and has a small brass rectangle on top of wrist as well as inlaid finials surrounding the extra nipple compartment near toe and has a small cheekpiece on the left side of the stock. Full steel buttplate with nice scroll on top at widow's peak. CONDITION: Very good. Wood has been lightly restored some time ago. Locks appear mostly silvered with age patina. Barrels retain most of an ancient rebrown. Bores are very good for a gun of this vintage with scattered pits. Mechanics are fine. JSL1
