This Model 620 falls right in the middle of the correct range for trench guns, which is 17000 to 33000. The Model 620 is three times rarer than the 520. It is a 620A but stamped "620" as most were. Left side of frame is stamped "US" and forward section stamped "P" with Ordnance bomb. Right side of barrel is stamped "P" with Ordnance bomb and Stevens address. Left side of barrel is stamped "PROOF TESTED 12 GAUGE 2-3/4" CHAMBER". Choke not marked. Finished in the proper dull brushed blue finish. Canfield states that the barrel address should be partially obscured and that the bomb and "P" were on the left side but that is not the case with this gun. Comes with factory sling swivels. Handguard has six rows of vent holes. The forward portion of shroud with bayonet lug attachment has the correct purplish hue and regular slot head screws. Buttplate is aluminum and checkered, not the typical black composite. CONDITION: All legends are sharp. Receiver retains approximately 75-80% blue with overall high edge wear. Barrel, tube, and handguard are blue-grey patina. Pistol grip stock is not checkered and is in very good condition with usual dings. Fine bore and action. Well-used and scarce World War II trench gun.
