Features blued barrels, nickel frame, walnut bird's head grips. Both Deringers are stamped "14 PALL MALL" on right side of frame with Colt pony. One has the letter "C", which is listed as being sold through Colt London Agency. British proofs under barrels. Guns are 29 numbers off from each other. CONDITION: Barrels retains virtually all of the expertly restored blue. Frame retain 98% original nickel with rub marks where they sit in case. Hammers have generous case colors. Screws have most of their restored blue finish. Excellent grips with wear from sitting in case; 98% original varnish. Even has some original fire blue on the triggers. Interesting to note that when examined under bright light, toning is coming through but the Colt stamp is a little light on top of one specimen, which indicates early English refinished. Near mint bores. Appear unfired. Very popular in London. Comes in a period case, repurposed and refitted, with brass screws and corners, French fitted, and has reproduction dealer label, and oil bottle inside. All information on these guns was taken from "The Book of Colt Firearms", Wilson, page 287. CORRECTION: Expertly reapplied blue to barrel and screws. Reproduction trade label in case.
