M1 Garand manufactured by the Springfield Armory and having a Springfield marked barrel dated 4-63. Gun has Springfield early style trigger guard with all Springfield parts except safety,which is marked "W.R.A.". Springfield marked op-rod and bolt. Wood stock with Department of Defense acceptance stamp (eagle with three stars) on left side of stock. "P" and "P" in circle stamps on the pistol grip and "A 4" on left side of stock. Later style sight with fixed front sight. CONDITION: Barrel retains 70% original arsenal finish with a TE reading: 2. ME reading: 2. Some slight wear and dings on the gas tube. Action has 70% original finish wearing slightly silver. Stock has handling marks and usage dings with honest wear and still visible cartouches.
