25 - 5/8" Mono-bloc barrels with deeply swamped rib have some scroll engraving on breech ends. Barrel flats and bottoms of barrels are stamped with grade markings and triple proofs. French gray sliding breech action with obturator discs has pivoting safety on left side, and is engraved with simple rose and scroll. Two piece stocks are of fiddle figured European walnut and measure 14-3/4" over hard rubber Darne marked buttplate. Point pattern flat top checkering is at grip and forend. Forend has inset horn tip. CONDITION: Excellent, very close to new with only minor handling marks in wood, some scratches on horn forend tip. Action is still quite stiff. Bores are excellent, but dirty. These well made guns of unique design, have a considerable following. MGM 49.
