This higher grade W.C. Scott Hammer gun has a lovely scroll and bird engraved action with five pin locks and beaded fences. The round knob buttstock is checkered in two point pattern through the wrist with tear drops behind the action. The butt terminates with a nicely checkered horn buttplate and has very pretty figure behind towards the butt and there is a small silver oval near toe. The Damascus barrels have a plain Damascus top rib that is marked with makers name and address. The dolls head extension is also nicely scroll engraved and there is a small brass bead at muzzle. The splinter forend is checkered in point pattern with Deeley release and engraved steel tip. Trigger guard bow with scroll engraving and serial number at tang which is surrounded by light scroll. Both locks marked "W.&C. Scott" on front at bottom. Provisional proof markings are all present. CONDITION: Very good. Action has turned mostly silver with only minor spotting noted. The refreshed barrels have most of their Damascus pattern. Bores with some leading should clean to excellent. Mechanics are fine. A sporty hammer gun!
