Offered is an incredible New Service Flat Top Target in the very desirable .44 Russian/.44 Smith & Wesson and double marked as such on left side of barrel. Flat top target featured high target front sight, adjustable rear sight, matte finish flat top frame, six shot fluted cylinder, double action, hand checkered trigger and both straps, fire blued back of hammer, and silver medallion Colt checkered Fleur-de-Lis grips. Considered by most collectors to be the most handsome grip ever supplied by Colt. CONDITION: This gun shows very little cylinder burn, a hint of muzzle wear, and a light drag line. Minimal high edge cylinder wear. Still retains 99% of the original Colt factory blue. Indexes perfectly and has a mint bore. This beautiful revolver is accompanied by its original hinged maroon box with blue end label that states "7-1/2" .44 Wood Blue Colt New Service DA Revolver". Matching serial number is written in pencil on bottom. The box is missing three of the four lid aprons. Box has been rebuilt, blocked and shrinkwrapped for display. Sticker on top reads "W. Cartridge." which would have read "S&W. Cartridge" if the apron was intact. A beautiful gun with a rare box in top condition. Investment grade new service.
